Almost everyone in the Type 1 Diabetes Awareness (T1DA) community agreed on the need for more awareness of Type 1 Diabetes so on March 23, 2012, with the help and suggestions of many people, we came up with a ribbon and colors specific to Type 1 Diabetes Awareness ~ blue, gray, and red. The T1DA ribbon is blue on one side, gray on the other, with a red drop of blood in the middle.
On that same day I contacted Support Our Ribbons, this company makes custom awareness ribbons and I wanted to see if they could make our newly created ribbon a magnet and they did. It can be purchased as a magnet or a sticker. Support Our Ribbons will donate $1 to the Diabetes Research Institute for each Type 1 Diabetes ribbon sold. They will make this donation retroactive to the creation of the design. This is what the Type 1 Diabetes Awareness magnet/sticker looks like. The magnets are thick, strong, .30 mil outdoor quality magnets intended for use on cars. The colors will not run or fade.

I do not work for the company that creates the magnets and stickers which is Support Our Ribbons, nor do I get paid from promoting their ribbons. I just want to promote awareness for Type 1 Diabetes. I had emailed Support Our Ribbons, since they make custom ribbon magnets & stickers, after we all came up with the new Type 1 Diabetes Awareness Ribbon and asked if they could create it and they did. To verify they will be donating $1 from each sale of the Type 1 Diabetes Awareness Ribbon, you may contact them by clicking here.
Updated Type 1 Diabetes Awareness Ribbon
I want everyone to be able to use the Type 1 Diabetes Awareness ribbon without any copyrights, restrictions, or stipulations so we created the Updated Type 1 Diabetes Awareness Ribbon on April 18, 2012. Thank-you to everyone that made this possible. Feel free to use the ribbon below however you'd like to raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes. All we ask is do not change the colors of the T1DA Ribbon, please keep blue on one side, gray on the other and a red drop in the middle and use it in a respectable manner. Other than that, feel free to use it however you'd like.
